Fisher Auto in Boulder Hosts Hunting Safety Classes

Wildlife Hunter Education Courses in the Boulder Area

As a business devoted to serving Boulder and the surrounding communities for more than just exceptional automotive sales and service, Fisher Auto wants to help remind Boulder residents of upcoming events that might be of interest.  With hunting season approaching, if you plan to go hunting in the beautiful Colorado outdoors this year, you will need to complete the Wildlife Hunter Education Courses.  As of 1970, Colorado has made these training courses mandatory in order to get a hunting license in the state.  These classes are responsible for drastically reducing the amount of hunting accidents and fatalities over the years, making hunting in Colorado much safer.  Colorado’s Wildlife Hunter Education Courses are led by trained and certified volunteer instructors and are offered throughout the year at various locations around the state.

Hunting Safety Class

You can take the required hunter education course this September, right here at Fisher Auto. Classes will be held September 19th, 21st and 23rd from 5:15pm – 8:30pm, as well as September 24th from 9am – 4pm.  Join fellow hunters here at the dealership – just ask the receptionist to point you in the right direction when you arrive.

Please pre-register for the courses by contacting Mike at 303-74-2827 or via email at mehdch@aol.com.

During Wildlife Hunter Education Courses you will learn a lot of extremely important information such as firearm safety, wildlife and gun laws, wildlife identification, shooting fundamentals, game care, responsibilities of a hunter, outdoor survival, and much more.
Colorado mandates that you have at least ten hours of training under your belt before you can get a hunting license.  Once you have attended all classes and have passed both a written exam and live fire exercises, you will receive your Hunter Education Card.

Colorado’s Wildlife Hunter Education Courses are also recommended for anyone who has a passion for the outdoors.  By learning basic outdoor skills you will be capable of handling an emergency situation should one arise.  You will have three types of instruction to choose from.  Depending upon your requirements, you may choose to homestudy, attend an online course, or attend the Crash Course.  The Crash Course is recommended for non-residents, women, and youth.

Colorado’s Wildlife Hunter Education Courses fill up fast.  It is recommended that you contact the Hunter Education Office as soon as possible to pre-register.  Instructors are allowed to charge a fee for the class, with fees for the regular classes not to exceed $10 and the Crash Course not to exceed $20.  All manuals, ammunition, and equipment are included in the cost of the class.
