Honda/Acura parts counterperson

Job description:
- Assists all customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Reviews shop estimates to insure the required parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Solicits assigned accounts by phone.
- Stays current with new products and product updates.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock & creates special orders as needed.
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
- Follows up on back-ordered parts.
- Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
- Helps outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Processes payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
- Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
- Assists the Parts Manager maintain a lost sales tracking program.
Qualifications:
- Internet and computer literate.
- High school education or equivalent.
- 3 years dealership automotive parts experience required.
- Exhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion with highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and adapt quickly.
