Boulder Brewing Guide*
Boulder, CO is full of world-class breweries that take advantage of the unique climate and natural resources to create beverages that are out of this world. While they aren’t the only attractions you should check out if you find yourself in the area, if you have a love for hops and need a place to unwind after a day in the great outdoors, we recommend you give these hot spots a go.
Asher Brewing Company
Colorado’s first all-organic brewing company is committed to following eco-friendly practices that are not only good for the environment, but they produce unique brews as well. Asher offers rich ales, flavorful IPAs and their own unique Kolsch at their on-site taproom and pub in Boulder just south of Longmont.
Twisted Pine Brewing Company
Brewing Boulder’s favorite blends since 1982, Twisted Pines Brewing Company has dedicated themselves to brewing the finest beers of every kind in their Boulder location. Beer lovers can find everything from a rich Irish Stout, to a subtle Blonde American Ale and Authentic Wheat Beer brews. Find your perfect match in their menu or get your hands on a limited-edition batch of their signature root beer and enjoy something a little different.
Avery Brewing Company
Avery Brewing has been around for more than 25 years, and in that time they have perfected craft brewing creating some of the most excellent stout ales, IPAs, and a unique line of barrel-aged brews that have made them a force to be reckoned with on the world stage. Use their brew finder to choose your favorite or drop into the tap room and sample a few.
Sanitas Brewing Company
Visitors can check out one of Sanitas’ core beer choices, like the Hoppy Lager or Cherry Saison, or opt for a rotating selection of limited release brews, including Odin’s Barleywine at the Sanitas Tap Room in Boulder. You can even grab a Taco from McDevitt Taco Supply to cap off your happy hour and make an afternoon of it!
Upslope Brewing Company
What’s better after a day of exploring the Flatirons than enjoying a cold brew with your favorite people? Nothing, according to Upslope Brewing, and we have to agree. Head northwest from Denver to the wildlife refuge and enjoy magnificent vistas, scenic hikes, and wild creatures galore, then drop by the Upslope Taproom to regale guests with tales of your wild adventures while you enjoy a variety of signature blends like the Pinot Noir Aged Imperial Saison.
Of course, this is just a sampling of the many quality breweries you’ll find when you drop in and explore Boulder on your own terms. We’re confident that, if you give it your best effort, you’ll walk away with a life-changing experience and a few brews you love.
